PVB Interlayer Films
The layer that makes glass safe.
PVB interlayer film is a polyvinyl butyral sheet bonded between glass plies under heat and pressure to make laminated safety glass. It holds fragments in place after breakage, blocks over 99% of UV, and damps sound. Novis supplies clear, coloured and decorative PVB in the standard thickness ladder from 0.38 mm to 1.52 mm.

Laminated safety glass is only as good as the interlayer inside it. The film governs how the glass behaves at the moment it matters — whether fragments stay bonded to the sheet or fall, how much ultraviolet reaches the interior, and how much noise crosses the glazing line.
The Novis PVB range covers the three specifications a glass processor actually orders against: clear film for structural and safety glazing, coloured film for solar control and design intent, and printed film where the glass itself carries the artwork.
